Ward 11 is cherished for its rural, small-town feel, the very reason we all love it. While our community has been growing rapidly, we must ensure that infrastructure and services grow alongside us, all while protecting and respecting our rural and agriculture lands.
Residents of Ward 11 shouldn’t bear the burden for past gaps in planning or reactive decision making with additional costs, like the stormwater fee. I am committed and focused on preventing future cost pressures with thoughtful course correction, and solutions that focus on long term value.
Our rural character can make us seem secluded, and unfortunately, this has led to a rise in auto thefts and break-ins. This is unacceptable. I will advocate for increased police visibility and work with the appropriate levels of government and boards to explore options for a closer police substation, providing more officers to patrol and protect our streets. We require added benefits for our money.

Responsible Growth
Ward 11’s rural lands are part of our identity and local economy. Productive agriculture land and open space should be protected from unnecessary sprawl and scattered development.
Growth must be matched by smart transportation planning. That means safer roads, better intersections, improved local connectivity, and practical solutions for congestion in growing parts of the ward.
Binbrook has grown quickly, and its clear everyday services need to catch up too.
The gas station on Regional Road 56 is something residents have been asking and waiting for far to long. I’ll work tirelessly to help move this project forward so families in Binbrook have easier access to the everyday services they need close to home.
As John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport continues to grow with new 400 million dollar investment, I believe we have a great opportunity to attract more businesses and support local entrepreneurs in Mount Hope. By growing thoughtfully with responsibility alongside the airport, we can create more local jobs, support small business, and help build a stronger, thriving community.
I believe Ward 11 can grow without losing its character.

Yet we still see and hear the same old stories, roads are getting horrible with slow repairs, crime is up and still rising, and the cities playing one big game of catch up and you should not be responsible for the bills and overspending city hall have been pushing.
Residents deserve to know where their tax dollars are going and how decisions are being made at City Hall. I believe in responsible spending, open communication, and making sure every dollar is used wisely to support the services and infrastructure our communities rely on.
All while our taxes keep rising at alarming rates, I will be your voice for lower tax increases and getting our cities spending under control with accountability and transparency. Creative solutions with simple to understand analysis of where is the money going can stop the absorption of the resident financial impact.

Public Safety
Everyone in Ward 11 deserves to feel safe in their neighbourhoods. As our communities continue to grow, public safety must grow with them.
In recent times, residents across Ward 11 have seen a major increase in auto thefts, vehicle break-ins, and property crime. Too many people are waking up to smashed windows, stolen vehicles, and thefts from driveways and parking lots. Criminals often see our communities as more secluded from the rest of the city, making the area an easier target.
We need stronger police visibility that is the bare minimum. We need a proactive approach to community safety. I will advocate for increased patrol presence throughout Ward 11, especially in areas that have experienced repeated incidents and growing concerns from residents.
In addition to visibility, I will work with the appropriate levels of government and boards to explore options for a closer police substation, that will provide more officers to patrol, creative community safety programming, and seek to protect our streets, roads and properties.
I will also advocate for safer roads, speed check signs to remind drivers on our roads, well-maintained public spaces, and maintain the home town feel with the growth of our communities that keeps safety at the forefront.
Ward 11 should be a place where families, seniors, and local businesses feel safe, supported, and protected every day.
